Southend on sea malayalee association (SMA) celebrated Christmas and new
year in a colourful way on 06 th January 2008 at east wood community
centre southend on sea UK. SMA act as the centre point of all malayalee
activities in southend on sea .SMA stand for the unity of malayalees
regardless of religion ,race or caste and support every individual group
to keep thier own identity. Like its all other functions Christmas and
new year celebrations also became a grand success. The celebrations
began with cultural programmes of SMA members and children. This was
followed by classical dance of former state school kalaprathibha Shiju
Menon and ganamela and mimics parade by Kalabhavan Santhosh and team.
The programme ended with a raffle draw and dinner. SMA coordination
committee thanked everyone for the overwhelming support for making this
event very successful.
