SMA TRANSFORMS INTO A 'REGISTERED
CHARITY'
We are proud to inform our members that
with effect from 15th March 2010, Southend Malayalee
Association has been awarded the status of Registered Charity. The
values and ethos of charitable organisations is self explanatory.
This status would enable SMA to interact with other like
minded organisation and bring in cohersion and multiculturalism which is
the essential need of the hour.Whilst we all find it always easy to
appreciate the changes and acheivements that affects this small
community, we should not forget and appreciate that without the
involvement , hardwork and dedication of Mr. Jason Chackochan and Mr.
Pradeep Kuruvilla, this transformation and ambition would be next to
impossible. We wish to thank both of them for their vision for SMA and
wish each members of our community to applaud their achievement to our
community. Further information about the role of charity organisations
is provided as a link below for the members to access.
Executive
Committee of Southend Malayalee Association has appointed Mr. Jacob
Thomas and Mr. Jiji Thomas as Child Protection Officers of SMA and they
will be monitoring all the children’s activities organized by SMA. We
take this opportunity to wish them success in their new role.
