20th June 2010: More than 100 organisations
gathered at a summer fair celebrating harmony and
diversity 20th June. The Big Event, organised
by the Southend Community in Harmony Partnership
attracted thousands of visitors to
Southend High School for Boys in Prittlewell Chase.
The event was coloured with belly dancing, African
dancers, Zimbabwean musicians as well as Punjabi
traditional folk dancing workshops and dances by artists
of Southend Malayalee Association. Southend Malayalee
Association had its presence first time by setting up a
food stall with traditional South Indian dishes and
Artists of SMA performed classical Indian Dances on the
stage.
